Reports confirm that Amazon and Tata Sky have recently introduced over the top (OTT) aggregator service called ‘Tata Sky Binge’ for Tata Sky subscribers, through which users of the DTH platform would easily be able to access numerous over the top (OTT) players' content on their television sets.

Apparently, the service will be available to all Tata Sky customers at a price of Rs 249 a month. The customers can access content from OTT players like Eros Now, Sun NXT, Hungama Play, and Hotstar, which would be made possible from multiple OTT apps on TV through Amazon Fire TV stick.

Sources close to the matter informed that for the Tata Sky Binge service, the DTH operator will focus on over 66 cities across the country. The collaboration with Amazon Fire TV stick will enable the DTH operator to allow its customers to watch OTT content on the big TV screen.

According to Pallavi Puri, the Tata Sky Chief Commercial Officer, currently the company is looking at 66 cities across India and with the passage of time, it will be available countrywide. The Tata Sky Binge will be a kind of platform where best OTT content would be available so that customers can access the best of both worlds.

Tata Sky Binge subscribers will also receive access to more than 5000 titles from the Tata Sky’s VoD library service along with their preferred TV shows of the last 7 days, sources said.

Seemingly, for new subscribers, Tata Sky Binge will also provide 3 months of Amazon Prime access, offering customers the best in entertainment and shopping, including unlimited free shipping, unlimited access to TV shows and award-winning movies with Prime Video, at exclusively no extra cost. Prime benefits also include unlimited access to eBooks with Prime Reading, millions of songs ad-free with Prime Music, and early access to lightning deals.
