Incap Corporation: Incap UK invests in new production equipment

Incap UK, an electronics manufacturing service provider, is improving its machinery at its plant in Newcastle-under-Lyme by installing an automatic optical inspection device. This machine will have a larger maximum PCB load size, Z-axis, angled cameras, and complete 3D functionality.

Jamie Maughan, Incap UK’s Managing Director, has claimed that the purchase of the new equipment would aid the firm’s expansion and improve the standard of its services.

As per reports, Incap UK has purchased an MV-3U OMNI Desktop 3D AOI machine, which offers 100% compatibility with the 3D AOI product line. Maughan stated that the device was appropriate for the company as Incap needed a greater maximum PCB load size.

The machine has a unique 3D inspection technology that combines a 15-megapixel camera with an advanced digital tri-frequency 3D system in a cost-efficient platform. The entire range of Incap’s 3D inspection devices can be used with the 15-megapixel vision system, which is a proprietary camera system.

In addition to this, with the focused 3D inspection to yield, the accurate height measurement data is utilized to identify lifted components and lifted lead faults along with solder volume post-reflow.

As per credible sources, the machine is equipped with four 10-megapixel sideview cameras, multifunction AOI/SPI inspection technology, and 15-megapixel top-down camera.

Electronics made by Incap UK are majorly used in the medical equipment, electric vehicle, and other growing industries.

For the unversed, Incap Corporation is a multinational EMS firm and full-service provider of electronic manufacturing solutions. It assists its customers, which range from big global corporations and mid-size organizations to small start-ups, in improving their entire manufacturing value chain.

Incap also offers cutting-edge technology supported by an entrepreneurial culture and skilled staff. The company employs about 2,500 people and has operations in Hong Kong, the UK, Slovakia, Finland, Estonia, and India. Since 1997, Incap's stock has been traded on the Nasdaq Helsinki Ltd stock exchange.
