Port of Oakland announces partnership with QuayChain Technologies

The Port of Oakland announced a new partnership with QuayChain Technologies (pronounced keychain), which provides a new source of real-time and precise street data that will assist the Port of Oakland provide important data to stakeholders.

Apparently, Oakland will take the lead with fast, reliable data. According to Bryan Brandes, Director of Maritime at the Port of Oakland, the Port's mission has been to be among the first organizations to develop a data transparency portal to ensure the public knows where their cargo is.

Brandes further claimed that this QuayChain street data will be at the core of the Port of Oakland's new portal, which will provide real-time data on the movement of chassis, trucks, and containers across the Port's streets, providing new insights that no other Port in the United States or the world has. This will enable Oakland to continue its leadership in port innovation and green technology.

As per reports, the lifeblood of every supply chain is precise and actionable data. QuayChain's solution is a neural network that provides secure real-time data. The Port of Oakland will offer the digital infrastructure for emerging technologies in order to serve users and increase efficiency and sustainability for all stakeholders.

Andrew Scott, CEO of QuayChain and a long-time freight industry pioneer, expressed his company's excitement to collaborate with the Port of Oakland's dynamic leadership team to deliver data to all users of this key West Coast gateway.

Sources also reveal that in the next months, QuayChain will announce the first pilot firms from significant importers, exporters, forwarders, chassis, and transportation communities.

For the uninitiated, QuayChain (QuayChain Edge Devices) will be deployed across the Port in mid-2023, according to the Port.
