Roche extends long-term partnership with Sysmex to provide hematology products

Roche has reportedly announced the expansion of its business partnership agreement with Sysmex. As part of the updated framework, the firms renewed their commitment to their long-standing collaboration. Roche has worked with Sysmex for 25 years, and the renewed terms will allow Roche to continue to provide Sysmex's hematology products, complementing their whole lab solutions offering.

Apparently, the updated non-exclusive agreement also includes a new section of collaboration in the form of an extra eco-social agreement to develop more sustainable diagnostic options. Both firms are dedicated to developing more sustainable solutions by expanding their long-standing relationship beyond the present portfolio.

The CEO of Roche Diagnostics, Matt Sause, expressed delight to expand their 25-year partnership with Sysmex in hematology and to discover more sustainable diagnostic options.

Sysmex Corporation President Kaoru Asano noted that expanding their diagnostics relationships and solving long-term eco-social concerns constitutes a key milestone in advancing their partnership to the next level. The companies believe that by working together, they can provide more significant benefits to customers in labs and create a more sustainable society.

For the unversed, Roche and Sysmex began their commercial and R&D collaboration in 1998 and have since grown their solid alliance. To further develop their relationship and improve client experience, the two organizations inked the Global Business Partnership Agreement in 2020. With renewed terms and increased scope, the two companies will reiterate their long-standing relationship and commitment to building a more sustainable future for society in 2023.

As per sources, the Global Business Partnership Agreement between Roche and Sysmex will benefit patients who need diagnostic solutions while also assisting laboratories in streamlining their testing efficiency and effectiveness by utilizing integrated IVD technologies from a single service provider.
